Dining Room Attendant

At Larga, we support guests from the Northwest Territories and Nunavut who travel to Edmonton for medical care. We provide a home away from home, and mealtime is at the heart of that experience. Our dining services team ensures every guest receives warm, well-balanced meals in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
We are looking for a reliable, attentive Dining Room Attendant to join our kitchen team. If you care about quality service, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Keep the kitchen and dining areas safe, stocked, and guest-ready at all times
- Support breakfast and meal service, distribute bagged lunches, and restock snacks and beverages
- Clean and maintain dining spaces — wipe tables, wash trays, sweep/mop floors, sanitize surfaces, wash dishes
- Replenish and monitor food stations, dairy, condiments, and steam table items
- Ensure cooler temperatures are logged and up to standard
- Communicate with reception and kitchen about guest numbers and special meal needs
- Perform deep cleans weekly (ice machine, condiments, machines, cupboards, etc.)
- Remove garbage at the end of each shift and maintain safe storage spaces
- Complete shift reports, timesheets, and logbook entries accurately
- Attend safety and team meetings and report any damaged or faulty equipment
- Assist guests with questions and direct them to appropriate team members
- Follow all public health, food safety, and company procedures
What We’re Looking For
- 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service environment
- Friendly and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Physically capable of standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods
- Comfortable working around heat, steam, and kitchen equipment
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and annual medical
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced team environment
Preferred:
- Interest in pursuing trade certification
- Familiarity with Indigenous cultures/languages
- Current certifications (or willingness to obtain):
- WHMIS
- Food Safe
- First Aid/CPR
- Emergency Response & Fire Extinguisher Training
- Non-Crisis Intervention

Compensation
$19.00 per hour
