📅 Schedule: Full-time, 6-month contract
Available shifts:
  • Saturday to Wednesday: 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM
  • Saturday to Wednesday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Monday to Friday: 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM

At Larga, we offer a home away from home for guests from the Northwest Territories and Nunavut receiving medical care in Edmonton. Our shuttle service is a critical part of their experience — helping guests safely and comfortably reach appointments, the airport, and our facilities.
We’re hiring a Shuttle Driver who is courteous, patient, and committed to safety. If you take pride in reliable service, enjoy working with people, and want to support others during vulnerable times, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  • Safely transport guests to and from appointments, the airport, and Larga
  • Assist guests with luggage, mobility needs, and special accommodations
  • Communicate clearly with guests — where to meet, how to reach drivers, etc.
  • Coordinate with airport staff to support check-in and notify them of guest needs
  • Transport prescriptions or special equipment as required
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and report maintenance needs
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and well-stocked
  • Adjust routes based on traffic or guest needs, while maintaining timeliness
  • Complete trip logs and timesheets; report to dispatcher regularly
  • Maintain open communication with dispatch, reception, and other departments
  • Participate in safety meetings and follow all company and transportation policies
  • Represent Larga with professionalism, compassion, and discretion

What We’re Looking For
  • Valid Class 4 Driver’s License (required)
  • 5-Year Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • 5-Year Clean Claims History from insurance provider (required for vehicle coverage eligibility)
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
  • 1–2 years of experience transporting passengers (shuttle, transit, or similar)
  • Excellent knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding area
  • Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering luggage up to 50 lbs
  • Friendly, calm, and professional when interacting with guests
  • Must pass an annual medical exam and comply with transportation safety standards

Preferred (but not required):
  • Familiarity with Indigenous cultures and/or languages
  • Knowledge of Alberta Transportation Act and applicable regulations
  • Certifications: WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, Defensive Driving, DATS (Airport), Fire Extinguisher Training
